Empty Bowls Clarksville is a simple yet powerful event that helps empower local hunger relief organizations. The following are commonly asked questions: When and where will the event take place? Tuesday, February 23rd 2010 from 4:30-7:00 at the Waterstreet Events Center on Riverside Drive, 804 South Riverside Drive, Clarksville, TN 37040. What will happen at the event? Each person who purchases a ticket will receive a hand crafted bowl and a meal for the evening. We will also have local musicians providing entertainment along with a live artist on a pottery wheel spinning out mysterious pieces of pottery. During the event a silent auction will be held for a selection of bowls. How much does it cost and where can I buy tickets? Tickets are $15.00 a person and can be purchased online. Where does the money go? The money raised form Empty Bowls will go towards supporting the Loaves and Fishes, United Methodist Urban Ministries-Grace Assistance Food Pantry and the F.U.E.L program, local programs feeding Clarksville’s hungry. Who makes the hand made bowls that will be handed out? Each bowl will be provided by artists from the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists, APSU Art Deptartment students and local citizens.
